taking down Schwarzenegger might not be as hard as you think

Schwarzenegger seems to be his own worst enemy when it comes down to his public image.  CNN reports that his approval ratings have dropped 10 points since 2004, and it comes as no surprise since he has labeled teachers and nurses as 'special interests' during one of his televised speeches.

As if that wasnt enough, now he has come out and said that he doesnt regret taking steroids during his body building career.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has acknowledged using steroids during his years as a champion body builder, said he doesn't regret using the performance-enhancing drugs.

The former seven-time Mr. Olympia said he would not encourage drug use because it sent the wrong message to children. But he said he had no problem with athletes taking nutritional supplements and other legal substances to improve their performance.

so what's up Californians, can i get some outrage?

This a golden opportunity to apply some serious pressure on the gubernator.  He argues that steroids were legal at the time, but in retrospect he still doesnt realize his mistake.  He then goes on to say that he supports athletes that use other forms of legal performance enhancers.

so here's how to cook this one.

  • Let's tie this to baseball: He supports athletes taking legal steroids so that they'll have an advantage over others.

  • Let's ask the obvious question: What does that do to the sport?  What about having a level playing field?

  • Let's add some outrage: There are players that play the game with their own god given talents!

  • and the knock out punch: So you say you support having players running around strung out on 'legal' steroids? We'll my children love baseball, and every time someone hits a homerun i hear them say "wow! i want to be just like that when i grow up!" Well i dont want them thinking that it's ok to cheat, and i surely dont want them to think it's ok to take any type of steroids!

Since the interview doesnt air until tomorrow, this is our opportunity to take the first shot at framing his drug use, or better worded, drug abuse

any other suggestions?
